INSPIRED BY THE HEDGEROWS AND WOODLANDS OF DEVON

From the Hedgerow to the Clifftop

19th April 2024 - Notes from the Studio:

We’ve heard that the puffins are starting to arrive in their colonies and make their rests ready for new arrivals. And it feels like the perfect time to introduce you to the newest member the of the Lily Faith fold. These cheeky chaps are here to stay for at least the Spring and Summer and perhaps beyond.

Brightly hued and with their graphic quality, these charming fellows are starting to grace the clifftops around the UK, and we couldn’t be happier to see them and the return of the warmer weather. So much so though that we have booked tickets to see a Puffin colony on a little island off the North coast of Devon. Lundy Island is situated 12 miles into the Bristol channel, and it’s name is the Norse word for Puffin - we have a month or two until our trip, but of course will take you along for the ride. In the meantime, we are enjoying welcoming these cliff dwellers into the studio.

Celebrating the delicate florals of the Season

With the light slowly changing, evenings drawing out and lots of new shoots in the garden, take a moment to re-feather your nest, and freshen things up for the coming months. Our Small wreaths are a perfect dose of flora and fauna, with their pastel hued dried foliage and a creature of your choosing. There’s plenty of woodland and hedgerow inspired animals to choose from, and each one is individually hand made, making it truly unique. The foliage is UK sourced, and this year, once again we will be growing more of it in Lily’s garden. Let us know if there is anything you would like to see.
